Among the myriad trends and shifts we’ve seen in present workplace culture, the decline in employee engagement is arguably the most significant one we saw in 2023. Due to an ongoing blend of internal and macroeconomic variables, it seems that much of today’s workforce has become disconnected from and disillusioned with their weekly obligations, and we are now seeing issues like worker burnout, decreased productivity and so-called “quiet quitting.”
